The Henderson Business Group Selling Process

1. Free Evaluation
We start with a free pricing evaluation of your company to determine the top price a buyer might pay in today's market. There are absolutely no up front costs for this free pricing service. Even if you decide not to proceed, we hope that you will call us when you are ready in the future.
2. Listing Agreement
When you decide to hire us you will sign an exclusive listing agreement that gives us the right to represent you. All information is completely confidential and no one anywhere - not even our other agents - will know about your interests until you approve our listing agreement.
3. Presentation Package
The Henderson Business Group develops a presentation package for each business listed with us. This package contains a detailed write-up, financial information, business specifics (location, pricing, lease information, etc), and pictures if appropriate.
4. Confidentiality
Packages are only shown to pre-qualified buyers who have executed non-disclosure agreements. Since The Henderson Business Group will be your sole and exclusive business broker we will make certain not to jeopardize business relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, banks, creditors, etc.
5. Communication
The Henderson Business Group will keep in close contact with you regarding progress of the selling process. Our Agents will be showing the business to buyers, but only after scheduling a convenient time for you. We will repeatedly advise buyers on the importance of absolute confidentiality.
6. Advertising
After your business has been listed with The Henderson Business Group, it will be professionally marketed to potential buyers. In addition to printed advertisements, a general description will be posted on this website as well as over 142 other international business opportunity web sites. All of this will be performed without divulging the specific name/address of each business for sale. In addition, our affiliated offices will also show your business to their clients across the country. These combined marketing efforts provide unprecedented exposure to your listing.
7. Negotiating an Offer
The Henderson Business Group will help coordinate all negations to minimize disruption of the seller's daily business operations. Some of the services we offer include:
  • Working with the attorneys and accountants for both buyer and seller to insure both parties receive adequate consultation.
  • Coordinating and managing the due diligence process so all parties move along in an orderly manner.
  • Managing the preparations leading to closing including the creation of closing statements, proration calculations, working with Attorneys to produce final documents, and ensuring all other details (inspections, loan contingencies, etc) are taken care of.
  • Serving as liaison with the buyer's lender to insure that the funding is handled professionally and with low risk for all parties.
